Europe rapeseed harvest forecast at 5-year high in 2022

One reason for this is the increased cultivation area. In many countries, acreage for the 2022 harvest has increased by well over 10%.

Poland, France, Ukraine and Germany are in a head-to-head race. In all four countries, approx. 1.1 million ha of oilseed rape are cultivated for the harvest 2022. The following picture shows the distribution of rapeseed cultivation areas, as recorded by the satellite-based tool CropRadar.

The EU Commission expects a larger oilseed rape harvest for Germany and France than in the previous year, despite low regional precipitation to date. The current yield forecast by Kleffmann Digital confirms these figures.
