Maize cultivation in Argentina

For the first time, CropRadar has measured the area of maize in Argentina in 2021/2022 by satellite.

More than 7 million hectares of maize were cultivated in the fields. The hotspots in Cordoba and Buenos Aires, the most important maize regions in Argentina, are clearly visible. In Cordoba, maize was grown on more than 30,000 fields with an average field size of 70.3 ha. Satellite images for this region indicate good to harvest levels.
