The winter barley harvest has begun in Europe

Harvesting of winter cereals, particularly winter barley, has already begun across Europe. CropRadar yield forecasts predicted an overall good average for winter barely which is confirmed by the first signals from the market. The total area of winter cereals in the EU-27 countries has decreased compared to last year. For example, here in Germany we can see an overall decrease of 3.12% in the area of winter cereals, reflecting the trend in the EU-27. In contrast, the area of winter barely has increased by 3.60% compared to last year.
